Dinner with a Doc – “Spinal Fractures: Is Kyphoplasty Right For You?”

Glenn Trent, MD, a spine surgeon with Mountain Spine Care, will be presenting the Dinner with a Doc seminar “Spinal Fractures: Is Kyphoplasty Right For You?” on Thursday July 21st, 2016 at 6pm at the Haywood Regional Medical Center – Café. Dr. Trent will speak while patrons enjoy a healthy meal. Afterward, he will circulate to visit with guests and answer questions. Balloon Kyphoplasty is a proven, minimally invasive procedure that can repair spinal fractures. Many people enjoy long-term improvements – in mobility, restored vertebral body height, and reduced back pain.
Kyphon Balloon Kyphoplasty is a minimally invasive procedure that can repair spinal fractures. It takes about an hour (per level) to treat a fracture with balloon kyphoplasty, and the procedure can be done on an outpatient or an inpatient basis, depending on the needs of the patient.
Dr. Glenn Trent received his B.S. degree from Michigan State University in electrical engineering. He is a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed an orthopaedic residency at the Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, S.C. After a year of private practice, he completed a Fellowship in Spinal Surgery at the University of Ottawa. Following completion of his fellowship, he returned to private practice in 1985 concentrating his practice to orthopaedic trauma and spinal surgery. For the past 12 years, Dr. Trent has focused his practice on spinal problems and spinal surgery. Dr. Trent is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Trent joined Mountain Spine Care in February of 2016. Mountain Spine Care also features William Miller, MD (Fellowship trained and Board Certified), Aaron Giese, PA-C and Jon Grady, PA-C.
Dr. Trent is accepting new patients. Appointments can be made by calling Mountain Spine Care at 828.452.8378. The practice is located at 581 Leroy George Drive, Suite 380 in the Outpatient Care Center on the 3rd floor. He will also be seeing patients at the Mountain Spine Care office on the Harris Regional Hospital campus.
