Haywood Regional Medical Center announces new OB/Gyn physician – Dr. David Kirk

Clyde, N.C. (Sept, 2016) – Haywood Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is announcing that Dr. David Kirk joined Haywood Women’s Medical Center on September 12, 2016.
“We are very pleased with the addition of an experienced physician and surgeon like Dr. Kirk to Haywood Women’s Medical Center,” said Rod Harkleroad, CEO of Haywood Regional Medical Center. “With Dr. Kirk on board, we plan to expand upon the services of Haywood Women’s Medical Center to meet the needs of Western North Carolina so more patients can get care closer to home.”
Dr. David Kirk is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology with Haywood Women’s Medical Center. He received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed his Internship and Residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, TN. He has 22 years of medical experience and specializes in all areas of obstetrics and gynecology and laparoscopic surgery. His areas of special interest are minimally invasive surgery, treatment of endometriosis, and menopausal symptoms.
“I’m excited to be joining Haywood Regional Medical to continue practicing OB/Gyn,” said Dr. Kirk. “I have lived in western North Carolina for 18 years and have spent most of my time in the mountains. Haywood Women’s Medical Center also features Robin Matthews, MD, a board certified physician who specializes in gynecology.
