Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement Collaborators

Overview
Haywood Regional Medical Center is a participant of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)’s Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement Model (CJR). Federally mandated, CJR aims to support better and more efficient care for beneficiaries undergoing hip, knee, and ankle replacements through bundled payment and quality measurement for care associated with the surgical procedure. The goal is to encourage hospitals, physicians, and post-acute care providers to work collaboratively to improve the quality and coordination of care from admission through recovery. For detailed information about the CJR program, please visit the CMS’s CJR Resource Page

Haywood Regional Medical Center's CJR Collaborators
As the national healthcare landscape changes, Haywood Regional Medical Center is committed to being on the forefront of providing the highest quality and cost-effective medical care. For this reason, Haywood Regional will from time to time enter into collaboration arrangements with physicians to develop programs that result in the highest value, patient-centric care.  As a part of this collaboration, a small portion of any savings may be shared with your physician.

Examples of how your physician may assist the hospital in improving value include supporting the hospital in:

  • Optimizing a collaborative environment to enhance communication among all care providers
