Dr. Benjamin Stepp Joins Haywood Regional Medical Center

Haywood Regional Medical Center (HRMC) today announced that Benjamin Stepp, MD, has joined its staff and will be offering services in family medicine to patients throughout Haywood County and beyond. Dr. Stepp has been providing care in Western NC for the last seven years and is now part of a great team of hospital-affiliated caregivers.

Dr. Stepp joins HRMC from Asheville, where he served a variety of patients and families. “As a family practice physician, I get to do a bit of everything,” Dr. Stepp shared. “I enjoy working with elderly patients and managing chronic health conditions such as hepatitis C, diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and more. On the flipside, I also enjoy seeing pediatric patients as they grow and develop.”

He graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, NC, then completed his residency at the Mountain Area Health Education Center in Asheville. “I have family in Canton, so I’ve attended lots of events over the years. I’m thrilled for the chance to work in this community,” said Stepp. “I will work hard to meet patients where they are, understand their perspectives and be their healthcare advocate.”
