Haywood Regional Medical Center holds annual service awards banquet, honoring employees’ tenure and commitment to the organization

Haywood Regional Medical Center held its annual Service Awards banquet on Tuesday, September 17, honoring numerous staff for their dedication and commitment to the organization as they mark tenure anniversaries in increments of 5 years. The event, held at Wells Event Center in Waynesville, was a time of reflection and thanks to staff who have dedicated their careers, or portions thereof, to the organization.

This year, over 70 total staff members are commemorating service anniversaries, collectively representing an impressive 780 years of service to the community. Service awards are presented in 5-year increments, recognizing staff at each milestone throughout their careers with Haywood Regional, with Tuesday’s honorees acknowledged for tenure ranging from 5 years to 35 years.

“It is an honor to celebrate the dedication and commitment of our staff who have reached remarkable milestones in their service to our hospital,” said HRMC CEO Chris Brown, RN. “Their efforts and compassion have not only shaped the quality of care we provide but have also made a profound impact on the lives of countless patients and families in our community. The hard work and dedication of our staff is truly inspiring.”

Staff honored at the event on Tuesday included:

• 5 Years: Tara Carter, ICU; Jerusha Johnson, Blue Mountain Urology; Marrisa Johnson, ICU; Miranda Partington, ICU.
• 10 Years: Vicki Crumpler, Haywood Women’s Medical Center; Ashley Henson, Urgent Care-Canton; Levi Henson, People Services; Gwendolyn Horn, Mountain Spine Care.
• 15 Years: Clara Pop, Haywood Surgical Associates; Robbie Clontz, Emergency Services.
• 20 Years: Jack Nitterauer, Endoscopy; Lasha Plemmons, Quality Management.
• 25 Years: Shannon Blaylock, Maintenance; Kathy Hoglen, Health Information Management.
• 30 Years: Stephanie Adamavich, Imaging.
• 35 Years: Angie Queen, Health Information Management.
