Haywood Regional Welcomes new Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon

Haywood Regional Medical Center welcomes newest provider Dr. Ryan Marshall, double-board certified plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon.

“We are very excited to have Dr. Marshall on our team,” said Rod Harkleroad, CEO of Haywood Regional Medical Center. “His addition will allow us to expand on many services including breast cancer reconstruction, wound care, skin cancer removal and more. We are looking forward to continuing to build quality services that our community can receive close to home.”

Dr. Marshall is double board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Plastic and Reconstruction Surgery and American Osteopathic Board of General Surgery. He received his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO. He then completed a residency and fellowship at The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He has worked and trained at very prestigious institutions including Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Westchester Medical Center.

“I am dedicated to not treating just the body, but also caring for the mind and spirit of my patients. I want my patients to look and feel their absolute best, especially after a circumstance like breast cancer or skin cancer. I look forward to being able to offer an expansion of services for those in Haywood County and the immediate areas of western North Carolina,” says Dr. Marshall.

Dr. Marshall will be joining Haywood Surgical Associates and the surgical team of Dr. Joshua Rudd, Dr. Al Mina and Dr. Allison Johnson. His areas of expertise include breast cancer and breast reconstruction including mastectomies, gynecomastia (enlarged breasts in men), mammoplasty (breast reduction), mastopexy (breast lift), and breast augmentation. He also specializes in complex wound management, head and neck reconstruction, and cosmetic procedures including eyelid blepharoplasty, facelifts/neck lifts, abdominoplasty, and injectables for the face and lip(s).  He is currently accepting new patients.
