Lunch and Learn March 2022: Colorectal Cancer

March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month and the perfect time to learn more about colon cancer prevention. Join us for a free Lunch and Learn session March 28 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at Haywood Regional Health & Fitness Center.
Gastroenterologist Mark Pankonin, MD, PhD, and General Surgeon Al Mina, MD, will share information about colon cancer symptoms, causes, and treatments. There will be a time for questions and answers at the end of the presentation.
Dr. Pankonin trained as a Jackson Gastroenterology Fellow at the University of Miami and completed his internship at Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. Previously, he earned his MD/PhD from the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. Dr. Al Mina received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University school of Medicine in Detroit, MI, and went on to complete his residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI.
