Talk with a Doc on Heart Health & Nutrition, Feb 12
February 5, 2019
Dr. Steven Gore, cardiologist with Haywood Regional Medical Center, will be presenting the Talk with a Doc seminar “Heart Health & Nutrition” on Thursday Feb. 14, 2019 at 6pm at Haywood Regional Health & Fitness Center. Dr. Gore will be accompanied by registered dietitian Lauren Teague.
“The statistics for heart health in our country are beyond belief. Every 40 seconds someone in the United States has a heart attack, and nearly 1 in 3 adults in the United States has high blood cholesterol, a major risk factor for heart disease and stroke,” says Gore. “Heart health is always an important conversation to have, but being February is also American Heart Month, we want to have more of a dialogue with our community about how you can achieve better heart health.”
Dr. Gore and Teague will speak about heart health while patrons enjoy a healthy meal. Afterward, there will be time to answer questions and speak to the presenters.
